So I was watching a documentary earlier today - 1983: The Brink of Apocalypse. About how the Cold War came so very close to becoming World War III due to tension between the USA and the USSR and each refusing to back down their nuclear arms. (Turns out there was a Behind the Scenes Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part one show on another channel, so I switched stations and I'm not sure what happened in the end of 1983... ;P)
But what I was wondering is what would be the repercussions for the Volturi and other vampires if a nuclear war did begin.
Also, would you think Aro would sit back and watch things unfold. Or would he try get in there somehow. Influence certain people, certain aspects. If so, which way do you think he'd go - for or against the bomb?

Yes, to an extend but if Marcus was lenient with most vamps guilty of going against the laws I still don't think Aro or Cauis would be very impressed. They were trying to build an empire here. I would say it was most important, especially in the early days, not to show any sort of weakness.
